Practice Director, Federal Cyber Compliance Services Division

Tom, a retired USMC Colonel, is the Practice Director for Iviry’s Federal Cyber Compliance Services Division. Prior to joining the Iviry team, Mr. Thomas has shown over 30 years of leadership and award-winning performance in must-produce, high stress environments supporting US National goals and objectives. A combat proven Marine, Col. Thomas planned and executed sustainment of coalition forces in Al Anbar Iraq,

and also implemented economic development programs and strategy to support international goals of stability in Iraq. An innovator with an eclectic skill set and knowledge across the Department of Navy and Joint Coalition environments, other career highlights for Col. Thomas include serving as Principle Logistics staff officer at Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) level and leading Headquarters Marine Corps Logistics Enterprise Modernization efforts across policy, compliance, best business practice and Information Technology. Mr. Thomas also has vast experience throughout the service spectrum from serving as Infantry Officer, MEF Chief of Staff for Logistics, Director of Logistics Vision and Strategy at Headquarters and Chief of Staff/Deputy Commander for the Marine Corps Warfighting Lab and Science and Technology efforts.

Joseph

Director of Security

Joe, a retired USMC Captain, is Director of Security and Operations Manager for Iviry. His broad security background from almost a decade of experience across many IT and security related disciplines includes Facility Security Officer, Insider Threat Program Security Officer, Security Operation Center (SOC) Manager and SOC Incident Response Coordinator.

Joseph has a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Management from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia and a Master’s in Information Technology Management from the Naval Postgraduate School.

Mr. Benson served for twenty years on active duty in the Marine Corps first as an Enlisted Infantry Marine and later as a Communications Officer.  His assignments included Marine Corps Security Forces Company Panama; 1st Battalion, 8th Marines; 3rd Battalion, 8th Marines; 4th Marine Expeditionary Brigade (Anti-Terrorism); Second Marine Division G-6; and the Second Marine Expeditionary Brigade’s Special Operations Training Group. 

Joseph served a combat tour in Haiti in 2004 in support of Operation Secure Tomorrow where he was attached to Combined Joint Task Force Haiti as a Battalion Communications Officer.  He also served a combat tour in Iraq in 2005 where he was attached to the Second Marine Division G-6.

ZACH

Chief Solutions Engineer

Zach, with over 20 years of experience in the information technology space, the last 10 of which has been centered on the safe handling and management of both federal and private systems that house Controlled Unclassified Information, is the central driving figure behind Iviry’s CyberMentum™ Cyber Security Compliance Suite.

Deeply troubled by the current state of our Nation’s approach to InfoSec, Zach committed to crafting a holistic solution that would simplify the process by which organizations within the Defense Industrial Base and DoD Supply Chain could achieve and sustain compliance with the current mandates of the NIST 800-171 construct and the coming Cyber Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) process.

Zach a CompTIA Security + ce, MCP, MCSA and MCSE certified technologist, is also a member of the shaping committee that is driving the formation of the CMMC Accreditation Body that will ultimately be responsible for the rollout and conduct of that program.

MARK

Cyber Security Specialist

Mark, with 15-plus years in various roles that include Strategy and Governance Digital Network Analyst, Digital Network Intelligence Analyst Chief and Present Digital Network Exploitation Analyst with the USMC for USCYBERCOM, Fort Meade, and Georgia SIGDEV, Fort Gordon, has conducted comprehensive technology

research to detect, identify, and describe specific vulnerabilities in a cyberspace system and assessed their impact on various operating systems. Mark also advised on techniques to maintain cyber security and secured government computer networks from external threats these roles. Additionally, Mark lent technical expertise to United States Cyber Command by contributing to the refinement of the training requirements for a cyber capability and authored the Job Qualification Standard (JQS) for the respective work role.

ANTHONY

Cyber Solutions Engineer

CompTIA Security + certified technologist with more than 25 years in the information technology, software development and cyber consulting arenas. Skilled in enterprise application, database architecture, cyber hygiene, and Logistics disciplines in both the private and public sector with certified experience in Agile Practice and Methodologies.


Spearheading Iviry’s efforts in the development of the supporting architecture that drives the CyberMentum™ solution, Tony has helped to craft a robust and scalable application that is unique to the cyber-compliance space. Tony has a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) focused in Management Information Systems, from the University of West Georgia.

FAISAL

Cyber Security Specialist

Faisal supported the Specialized Device Security Division for the Office of Information & Technology’s Continuous Readiness in Information Security Program (CRISP) to provide analysis of and solutions for identified vulnerabilities on the Department of Veterans Affairs federal networks, systems and data.

Also drove the process behind the technical compliance of IT general controls for PKI (NIST 800-53, FISMA). Working  in concert with team members and relevant Subject Matter Experts to, Faisal was instrumental in driving the remediation of all identified IT related vulnerabilities for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

A passionate and genuine problem solver, Faisal is a CompTIA Security+ and Splunk Certified User 6 with experience on both the public and private sectors.
